Shelf Membership Policy

Effective January 1st, 2021

  • All members must be 18 years of age or older; no exceptions.

  • Memberships do not include instruction from staff or fellow members. Each member must have completed at least one in person multi-week course at the Studio or have prior experience approved by Studio manager. 

  • It is the responsibility of each member to read and abide by the following policies.

  • Members can use their work sessions during our expanded Open Studio Hours:

    • Tuesday 12:00 - 8:00pm

    • Wednesday 12:00 - 8:00pm

    • Thursday 10am - 5:30pm

    • Friday 10am - 5:30pm

    • Saturday 10am - 8:00pm

    • Sunday 10am - 8:00pm

  • The Studio hosts classes, workshops and courses during Open Studio Hours. Each member is required to be absolutely silent in the presence of any classes, workshops or courses. The Studio reserves the right to revoke membership privileges of any member that cannot abide by this requirement.

  • The Studio reserves the right to revoke membership privileges if any member fails to abide by these requirements.

$145 includes unlimited work sessions per month:

  • Shelf Membership requires a verbal commitment for a minimum 3 consecutive months of membership.

  • Payment can be made during Shop Hours between the 1st and 7th of each month.

  • Late payments are subject to a 15% late fee and must be paid in person.

  • Auto-pay is available to Shelf Members willing to commit to more than 3 consecutive months.

  • Studio equipment, glazes and firing services are included for up to 30 pots per month, tallied as glaze firings are unloaded. 

  • Shelf Membership does not include anything made outside the studio.

Storage:

  • All work in progress, personal clay, glazes, tools, ect need to be stored on assigned shelf.

  • Shelf Members will find their bisqueware and finished projects delivered directly to their shelf. 

  • If there is no space on the assigned shelf, staff will place work on communal Bisqueware or Glazed Ware shelving.

Cancellation or Adjustment: 

  • Please give the Studio Manager at least two weeks' notice of membership cancellation or adjustment. 

  • This is especially important for members enrolled in auto-pay. 

  • Any greenware or glazed ware that still needs to be fired can be put on the appropriate cart and will be fired for you; pick it up two weeks later. 

The Studio reserves the right to edit, adjust and/or update these policies at any time and without notice.
