This 6-week course is an introduction to hand built pottery! Each class session will introduce new techniques including pinch, coil, and slab building, glazing and the firing process. Participants will explore various building techniques as well as gain an understanding of the tools and methods involved in the ceramics process. Students will learn about surface design and glaze to bring their unique works of art to life. Students will also learn how to prepare and clean up their workspace, how to store their artwork and recycle their clay. Our skilled instructors will guild participants step-by-step through the entire ceramic process. Each participant is provided with 25 pounds of clay, as well as all instruction, glazes and firing during class sessions and practice hours. By the end of the course, students will have learned how to create their own designs in clay. After completing this course, students are qualified to participate in the Monthly Membership to continue developing their artistic talents. All levels welcome. Ages 16+

Each student will receive:

• 12 hours of in-class instruction.

• a 25 pound bag of clay. The studio sells a variety of clays for students who wish to purchase more.

• six practice passes to use outside of class time; Tuesdays to Sundays 12-5:30pm; Wednesdays 12-8pm.

Cancellation Policy: (This all applies even in a COVID related situation so please only purchase a class with us if you are aware that we are unable to make any exceptions to this policy beyond the parameters listed below. This includes the 7 day notification policy in order to be able to reschedule.) All sales are final. Classes or workshops can only be refunded for credit towards another class or workshop given it is done at least one week (7 days) prior to the start date of said class or workshop. Cancelations made within 7 days of the start date are not granted a credit. No exceptions. This also applies to canceled private lessons. Credit must be put towards a class or workshop within 6 months after purchase. After 6 months all credit is forfeited. Please email us with any questions.
