Learn how to make your own ceramic earrings and/or pendants with Jess of JRW Ceramics! Over the course of three weeks, Jess will be sharing her knowledge and experience of making small, intricate jewelry designs by hand and building specialized kiln furniture for the glaze firing. Students will start off by learning how to sculpt their own jewelry designs using silicone molds, tiny cutters and sprig molds. The second lesson will focus on constructing a personal piece of kiln furniture and the glaze will be painted on during the third lesson. The studio will provide all clay, tools, glaze and ceramic-specific materials for each participant. Each student should bring their own inspiration and ideas, as well as their own jewelry findings (like earring hooks/hoops and necklace chains). We encourage everyone to bring a notebook to take notes and record their creative process. Please be sure you can attend ALL of the class sessions, as there are no makeup lessons available. Ages 16+

Please note: This workshop will focus more on the creation of ceramic jewelry within the sculpting and firing process! The instructor will demonstrate how to attach the ceramic designs to her own jewelry findings in the third class session, but the studio will not be providing jewelry findings (like earring hooks/hoops or necklace chains) for each participant. This will allow each participant to accommodate their own metal preferences/sensitivities and avoid any allergic reactions to jewelry metals!

Cancellation Policy: (This all applies even in a COVID related situation so please only purchase a class with us if you are aware that we are unable to make any exceptions to this policy beyond the parameters listed below. This includes the 7 day notification policy in order to be able to reschedule.) All sales are final. Classes or workshops can only be refunded for credit towards another class or workshop given it is done at least one week (7 days) prior to the start date of said class or workshop. Cancelations made within 7 days of the start date are not granted a credit. No exceptions. This also applies to canceled private lessons. Credit must be put towards a class or workshop within 6 months after purchase. After 6 months all credit is forfeited. Please email us with any questions.
